We hereby recommend using these tips and suggestions.
Furniture transportation
As a rule, furniture must be transported in packaging, in enclosed transport vehicles, on special transport pallets, protected by precipitation, soiling and mechanical damage (knocks, scrapes, rattling and grinding during the movement of the vehicle etc). Special care should be reserved for the transportation of packages that contain furniture items with glass, mirrors and/or sliding doors (denoted by the wineglass icon on the package). Packages should be carefully loaded and unloaded and transported to the assembly spot. It is forbidden to lift the package(s) from the sealing strip, to overturn, drag or drop the packages. When lifting furniture, always adhere to the direction of the arrows on the package’s precaution marking or the lower part of the object. Large-scale and heavy objects must be lifted with several people.
Furniture installation
Furniture transported in disassembled form will be assembled according to the assembly scheme or instructions added to the product (or product set). When opening the packaging, please make sure that all the necessary details are present and apparently in working order (before assembling the object). Furniture must not be installed in the direct proximity of a moist and cold wall or a heating apparatus. If doors and/or their locks do not close properly due to the uneven floor during furniture installation, the height of the furniture object’s leg must be adjusted or – if this is not possible – a suitably thick wedge must be placed under the object’s lower corner or leg. When relocating assembled furniture objects, please lift them from the bottom part and carry them to the new position (except for objects on furniture wheels). Prior to relocation, the furniture should be cleared of all objects placed in them.
Furniture usage
Furniture must be used according to its designated purpose. Keep and use furniture in dry, heated rooms where air temperature does not drop below +10°C. Furniture must be protected from direct sunlight, because that will affect the product’s color and appearance: the external surface might bleach unevenly, the varnish and paint layer might crack and the mirrors can become dim. Shelves and drawers in the furniture objects must not be overloaded with heavy objects and no additional weights can be hanged on or affixed to the doors. In order to avoid deformation of wardrobe door hinges and shelves, the doors and shelves of furniture objects should be kept closed. Hot objects must not be placed on the furniture without the coaster. Any liquid that has come into contact with the furniture must be immediately absorbed with a clean, soft cloth. If furniture joints that use joint fasteners, bolts or screws are showing clearance, they must be tightened from time to time.
Furniture maintenance
It is recommended to wipe dust from:
- varnished, painted or natural leather surfaces with a dry, soft cloth;
- decorative plastic, melamine (laminated) or artificial leather surfaces with a moist cloth;
- cloth-covered surfaces with a vacuum cleaner or a brush.
It is forbidden to clean furniture with pastes and liquids that are not meant for cleaning furniture and that contain dissolving, bleaching and abrasive substances. In order to clean and freshen up soiled surfaces, it is recommended to use furniture care resources sold in stores, adhering to the special purpose and usage instructions on the package. Soiled furniture surfaces (except for the cover cloth and natural leather), also glass and mirrors and trimmings can also be cleaned with a soft cloth that has been soaked in a weak soap solution and then in clean water, drying the surface eventually with a soft cloth. In order to clean furniture covered with cloth and natural leather, it is recommended to use the cleaning services of the respective registered companies or to use the sold furniture cloth and leather furniture care resources, adhering to the usage instructions.
Natural timber characteristics
Since timber is a natural material, the different objects might show slight differences in color. If purchased at different times, they might have been affected by environmental factors, such as the climate-related color and tone differences. Combining various timber types can also cause differences in conjunction with the climate.
Manufacturer’s guarantee
The manufacturer will ensure the compliance of the furniture’s quality to the sample(s) and the valid requirements, if the buyer adheres to the suggestions and requirements of these instructions.
