"Growing" beds

A bed the children can grow in is better than a bed that is quickly outgrown. Once the child starts lifting him/herself, you have to raise the baby bed’s bars higher than when the baby is always prone. The bar frame must be raised to its highest position, leaving 30 cm between the mattress and the lower edge of the frame. This rules out the possibility that the child can roll off the bed. In its lowest position the distance between the mattress and the upper frame must be at least 60 cm to prevent the child from climbing out of the bed.
